The Science of Social Behavior

HD/SOC/ILRR/COMM 4840 (a companion course to Six Pretty Good Books: Explorations in Social Science)

Capstone seminar for seniors who are interested in graduate study in scientific disciplines that focus on human behavior. This course is designed to mirror the introductory course COMM 1840—Six Pretty Good Books. Students will have the opportunity to also enroll in COMM 49980 for 1 credit to lead discussions of first-year students reading these same books, though this latter option is neither required or guaranteed.

Prerequisite: At least one statistics course and a major in either Human Development, Psychology, Sociology, or Economics. Permission of instructor is required. Enrollment is limited to: seniors who major in Sociology, Psychology, Human Development and Economics.
